Are there more specific
directions available to visit the project site?
The best entry
point is near the intersection of Erbes Road and E Avenida de
Las Flores (the area labeled 'H' on the Master Plan exhibit).
Park in the unpaved parking area off Erbes Road and walk east
(past a maintenance yard and water pump station) onto the project
site. Cross-referencing the Master Plan to an aerial view (Google
Earth uses the best-available aerial photo) is recommended.
What entities will be reviewing/approving the documents for this
project?
CRPD is an Independent Special District and not a direct part
of the City of Thousand Oaks. Accordingly, CRPD goes through
the City's complete development permit process. Other reviewing
agencies would be those discussed within the EIR.
Has additional design work been performed beyond the master plan?
No. The approved master plan and information contained within
the EIR is the extent of available design information. The successful
proposer will take this existing information and use it to prepare
construction documents, including design details as necessary.
Does the District require a landscape architect to be the prime
consultant?
No. CRPD has placed no restrictions on who can or should be the
lead consultant. The requirements of a lead respondent are described
in the RFQ Packet. Respondents are encouraged to demonstrate
strong project management capability to CRPD in addition to the
technical proficiency of the firm or team.
Is survey work required as part of the project?
It is likely. The District has topography flown around 2002. One
portion of the site (The Lang Dam area, which is technically
outside the park boundary, but shares a common border) is not
included in this topo file. Otherwise, site conditions have not
changed, other than natural occurrences over that amount of time.
Is it the District's
intent to have the Respondent provide information for each sub-consultant
it intends to employ for Requirement D(g) and the disclosure,
or have the Respondent only provide a list of its intended sub-consultants
as specified on page 6 of the RFQ?
Requirement D(g) makes the specific request for subconsultant
information. Page 6 is an information page and the mention there
of subconsultants is in reference to D(g).
The master plan shows "DRAFT" on the tile. Is this the current
plan?
Yes. The master plan shown is the approved plan.
Has a budget been established for this project?
Partially. Some funding is currently in place and the District
is actively pursuing additional funding.
Will the sports fields be synthetic turf?
No decision has been reached regarding turf or other materials,
construction methods, etc.
Will there be any needed construction phase services?
Not as a part of this scope of services. |
